Recap of Rail Innovation Exhibition 2025
RUGGED MOBILE Systems had some interesting discussions in London on our stand at the Innovate UK Rail Innovation Exhibition 2025 at the QEII Centre, on 13th February 2025
The Rail Innovation Exhibition 2025, delivered in partnership with the Department for Transport, brought together over 500 delegates from industry, government, research, and trade associations, including Network Rail – this was the place to review the latest in rail innovation.
This exhibition was ideal for networking and enables visitors to connect with innovators across the rail supply chain.
Companies were presenting the latest advancements in rail innovation, including:
- Rail innovation aimed at reducing emissions
- Enhancing efficiency
- Improving customer experience
- And making the railway more accessible and inclusive
It was an ideal show for networking opportunities, allowing ourselves and visitors to connect with key innovators across the rail supply chain.
RUGGED MOBILE Systems presented a range of NEXCOM rail approved (EN50155) computers including AI/Edge platforms ideal for on train applications, such as video analytics plus a broad range of rugged tablets, handhelds and notebooks ideal for trackside maintenance activities.

Nexcom’s extensive portfolio ranges from simple Intel Atom based systems through to top end i7, i9 and Xeon cpu’s, with extensions to support advanced AI applications at the edge. It includes over 20 systems that have been certified to EN50155 for rail usage. The range also includes solutions based on NVIDIA AI cpu’s to give very powerful analytical capability – in-vehicle, on-train or trackside.
