ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems Registration
From 22nd April 2020, the environmental management systems of RUGGED MOBILE Systems have been assessed and approved by QMS International Ltd to the following environmental management systems, standards, and guidelines:- ISO 14001 : 2015
The approved environmental management systems apply to the ‘Supply of rugged mobile computing hardware and accessories’ and are valid until April 2021.
- ISO 14001 is the International Standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS). It was designed by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) to help businesses and other organisations to reduce their environmental impact.
- By achieving our ISO 14001 certification, RUGGED MOBILE Systems are able to demonstrate to customers and suppliers that the systems we have in place meet the high standards set out by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).
- To gain the ISO 14001 certification, RUGGED MOBILE Systems had to demonstrate our dedication and commitment to reduce waste, improve resource efficiency and cut waste management costs.
- Each year, an external Audit is carried out by a third party to ensure our systems are maintained and any non-conformances are noted for correction.
Managing Director of RUGGED MOBILE Systems, Siân Jones, said in April: “We plan to use the ISO 14001 certification to demonstrate to our clients our commitment to the environment in all aspects of our business through our documented environmental management plan. RUGGED MOBILE Systems, now in our 14th year, has been committed to protecting the environment from the start and by following the ISO 14001 principles we can ensure this continues”
